Vocabulary is the foundation. For HSK 4 (1,200 words) over three months, try 15-20 new words a day with spaced repetition: learn on day 1, review on days 2, 4 and 7, and learn words in example sentences, not in isolation. Our vocabulary library shows pinyin, part of speech and examples, and finishing a lesson auto-adds its core words to your review queue.
Balance the four skills: 15 minutes of listening daily, close-read 1-2 short passages, retell the day's content aloud, and keep a notebook of mistakes and confusable words.
Two to three weeks before the exam, switch to mocks: two past papers per week, strictly timed, then analyze error types (vocabulary, grammar, carelessness) and drill the weak spots. A steady rhythm beats cramming.
