The China arrival declaration (digital at many ports) generally asks for: name, flight number, seat number, passport number, and items carried. Key questions: animal or plant products, cash above the limit, tobacco and alcohol amounts, and prohibited goods.

Tobacco and alcohol limits: most adults may bring 400 cigarettes and 1.5 liters of alcohol duty-free (confirm at your port of entry). Above the limit you must declare and pay tax. Fill in medicines and food truthfully.

Digital declaration is easier: many airports support the "Customs Passenger Fingertip Service" mini-program — scan, fill, done in seconds. If you do not read Chinese, ask an officer on site for help.
