HSKK (HSK Speaking Test) is HSK's companion oral exam, independent of the written test, in three levels: Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced.
Format: fully computer-recorded — you hear prompts and answer into a microphone; recordings are graded centrally. Durations: about 17 min (elementary), 21 min (intermediate), 24 min (advanced).
Task types: elementary (listen-repeat, listen-answer), intermediate (listen-repeat, picture description, questions), advanced (listen-retell, read aloud, questions).
Preparation: speak 15-30 minutes daily following news or textbooks; build answer templates for common topics (self-introduction, hobbies, work, travel); record and correct yourself.
Exam-day tactics: slower and clearer beats longer and faster; if you stumble, keep going; watch your time on each question; check microphone volume before starting.
